On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Late Dr. J. J. Magdum, a comprehensive Health Awareness and Free Homoeopathic Medical Camp was organized at Late Mrs. Housabai Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Nimshirgaon. The programme was conducted under the joint initiative of Dr. Praful Vijaykar Homoeopathic Research & Development Foundation and HAPPY Kolhapur Group, with the noble theme “Hope for the Hopeless.”
The camp aimed at providing medical support and hope to children and patients with special needs, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, physical challenges, speech and hearing impairments, visual impairment, congenital disorders, delayed milestones, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other special conditions. Pulmonary Function Tests were also made available where required.
In addition, a free mega health check-up camp was organized for the general public, offering homoeopathic consultation and treatment for various medical conditions such as gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory illnesses, skin diseases, musculoskeletal problems, lifestyle disorders, and chronic ailments. Basic investigations including haemoglobin, blood sugar, ECG, X-ray, and laboratory tests were provided at concessional or free rates.
Physiotherapy services were also extended for conditions like back pain, joint disorders, paralysis, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and neurological conditions. The camp witnessed active participation from doctors, interns, students, and paramedical staff, ensuring smooth conduct and quality care.
The programme successfully fulfilled its objective of serving humanity, spreading awareness about homoeopathy and physiotherapy, and truly honoring the legacy of Late Dr. J. J. Magdum by bringing hope, care, and healing to the needy, in the true spirit of Hope for the Hopeless.

On 12 oct 2025 The 1st Graduation Ceremony 2025 of Late Mrs. Housabai Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Nimshirgaon, Kolhapur, under Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, was conducted with great pride and enthusiasm. The ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Hon. Dr. Rajendra Patil Yadravkar, MLA, Shirol Constituency; Prof. Dr. Milind B. Nikumbh, Pro-Vice Chancellor, MUHS; Dr. Devendra S. Patil, Director, Student Welfare, MUHS; Dr. Rajkumar Patil, Dean, Faculty of Homoeopathy, MUHS; and Shri Mahendra N. Kothawade, Deputy Registrar, MUHS. Graduates received their degrees in a formal and inspiring atmosphere, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey. The event celebrated the hard work, dedication, and achievements of the students, while motivating them to serve society with compassion, knowledge, and professionalism. The ceremony concluded with heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the future of all graduating students.
